Talented young musicians for generations prepare for their undergraduate education and career at Celia Cruz Bronx High School of Music. A menu of inspirational education opportunities includes the Advanced Regents Diploma Program, double period blocks of Music Ensemble, and various music electives; ensembles include various Bands, Jazz Band, String Orchestras, Full Orchestra, Piano, and Choirs; Honors Courses, College Now; students participate in a minimum of two major performances yearly, and are evaluated by New York State School Music Association as soloists and ensemble. The school is a partner school with Exploring the Arts, an organization built by the great musical artist Tony Bennett and his wife Susan Benedetto to support music programs throughout the city. It has an outstanding reputation among the diverse student body. Parents express pride when they mention their young instrumentalist, singer or future composer is a Celia Cruz student.
