Many Bronx residents are confident their borough has the best chocolatier in all of New York City and the many glowing online reviews for the destination they are referring to – The Chocolate Place – suggests very strongly they may be absolutely correct. The Chocolate Place specializes in chocolate covered treats including strawberries, apples, pretzels, cupcakes and Oreos. But online reviewers tout its “amazing” milk chocolate truffles and chocolate bars, among other favorites. One online reviewer on Yelp, where The Chocolate Place is ranked as the top chocolatier in the borough, praises the store, saying it’s “one of the reasons I love the Bronx.” She adds it’s “very unassuming from the outside but go inside around Valentine’s Day and you will find everything you or your special someone’s heart desires.””
